New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects worth Rs 4,900 crore related to roads, rail, water supply and tourism in Amreli, Gujarat. The Prime Minister said that these projects will bring ease of living for the people and will accelerate the development of the region. During this the Prime Minister mentioned the Blue Revolution. PM Narendra Modi said that the country has a maritime heritage and we are working towards a blue revolution. Our government is working to connect the ports of Gujarat with the rest of the country.

Modi said that we have become a government that cares about the people of the country. The people of the country have given an opportunity to a Prime Minister to complete his third term after many years. In fact, the Modi government is trying to increase the income of fishermen along with promoting fish farming through Blue Revolution. In his previous tenure, in the cabinet meeting of PM Modi, a scheme worth more than Rs 20 thousand crore was approved to make the blue revolution successful.

The Prime Minister said that water has a direct relation with tourism. Sardar Sarovar Dam was constructed for water supply, but a statue of Sardar Saheb has been installed there, which is visited by lakhs of visitors. On the birth anniversary of Sardar Saheb, a national unity run event takes place.

PM said, PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme has been started to reduce electricity bill to zero. We have worked to save 25-30 thousand rupees from the electricity bill of a Dalit family.
