Entertainment News Desk – Dharmesh Yelande, popularly known as Dharmesh Sir, is celebrating his 41st birthday today i.e. on 31st October. From dance teacher to famous choreographer, he has made his own identity in Bollywood. He rose to fame as a contestant in Dance India Dance Season 2. Famous for his expertise in freestyle, locking, popping and hip-hop, Dharmesh continues to impress the audience with his every performance. Apart from choreography, he has also made his mark as an actor in films like ABCD: Any Body Can Dance and Banjo. Dharmesh, who hails from Vadodara, Gujarat, ran his own dance academy D’Virus before appearing in Dance India Dance Season 2. After his debut, Dharmesh participated in many other dance reality shows like Dance India Dance Little Masters, Dance Ke Superstars and Dance Plus. He also played the role of a judge in Dance Deewane 3. But very few people know that Dharmesh had won the famous 90s show Boogie Woogie and won a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh. He shared this heart-touching story during an episode of Dance Deewane 3, where judges Javed Jaaferi and Naved Jaaferi of Boogie Woogie were the special guests.
Following his success on television, Dharmesh debuted in Bollywood as a choreographer in 2010 with Farah Khan’s film Tees Maar Khan. She made her acting debut in 2013 with the 3D dance film ABCD: Any Body Can Dance starring Prabhu Deva and Kay Kay Menon. The film proved to be a huge hit, and was followed by its successful sequel ABCD 2, starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. His other films include Banjo (2016), Nawabzaade (2018) and Street Dancer 3 (2020).

Dharmesh Yelande was a standout contestant on Dance India Dance Season 2, who impressed the judges with his stellar performance on Indian flute music. His dancing skills earned him the runner-up position, paving the way for his success in other dance reality shows. After his initial success, Dharmesh showcased his talent in Dance India Dance Little Masters, where he coached the winner Jeetumoni Kalita. She also assisted Geeta Kapoor in Dance India Dance Doubles and won Dance Superstars. His journey continued as a mentor on Dance Plus and later he became Maharashtra’s Best Dancer and a judge on Dance Deewane Season 3. He also participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10, where he emerged as the second runner-up. He has also made notable guest appearances in popular shows like The Kapil Sharma Show and Bigg Boss 14.

ABCD 2 (2015)

Banjo (2016)
In 2016, Dharmesh played a supporting role in the musical action drama Banjo, directed by Ravi Jadhav. The film starring Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri was released on September 23, 2016.
Nawabzaade (2018)
Nawabzaade is a 2018 romantic comedy directed by Jayesh Pradhan. Dharmesh, Raghav Juyal and Puneet Pathak are in lead roles in this film.
Street Dancer 3D (2020)
In 2020, choreographer Remo D’Souza returned with another dance gem Street Dancer 3D, starring Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhu Deva with Nora Fatehi in the lead roles. Dharmesh played a supporting role in the film.
