Business News Desk – Domestic stock market opened flat on Diwali. Today is also the expiry of October series. On Thursday, Nifty opened at 24,322 with a decline of 18.80 points or 0.08%. Nifty Bank opened at 51,689.70 with a decline of 117.80 points or 0.23%. Sensex opened at 79,870.47 with a fall of 71.71 points or 0.09%. Banking shares were under pressure today. Selling is also being seen in IT. However, there is a boom in the pharma sector. Cipla, L&T, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Hero MotoCorp and Bajaj Auto topped the list of Nifty’s fastest growing stocks during early trading on Thursday. Today this stock saw a rise of 8.25% to more than 0.60%. At the same time, in the list of weak stocks of Nifty, shares of Tech Mahindra, Infosys, BEL, TCS and Titan are at the top. During early trading, a decline of 1% to 1.7% was seen.
