AIMPLB Against Waqf Amendment Bill: वक्फ संशोधन बिल के खिलाफ एआईएमपीएलबी, कहा- 13 दिन में ही 3 करोड़ से ज्यादा मुस्लिमों ने जताया विरोध

Bengaluru. Parliament’s JPC is deliberating on the Waqf Amendment Bill. It is believed that the Modi government is preparing to pass the Waqf Amendment Bill in the winter session of Parliament. At the same time, Muslim organizations and opposition parties are protesting against the Waqf Amendment Bill. Muslim organizations and opposition parties are alleging that the BJP government wants to take over the land of Muslims through the Waqf Amendment Bill. At the same time, BJP says that there are many flaws in the Waqf law and Muslims and women have not got proper representation in it. Amidst all this, All India Muslim Personal Law Board i.e. AIMPLB has expressed protest against the Waqf Amendment Bill.

AIMPLB General Secretary Maulana Mohammad Fazlurrahim Mujadidi said in Bengaluru on Saturday that Muslims do not want amendment in the Waqf Act and the government should not try to get it passed. AIMPLB General Secretary claimed that in just 13 days, more than 3.66 crore Muslims have sent e-mails to the JPC opposing the Waqf Amendment Bill. Maulana Mohammad Fazlurrahim Mujadidi said that whenever Waqf amendment bills were brought before, their aim was to strengthen the board. AIMPLB General Secretary said that the bill that is going to be brought now is going to weaken the Waqf Board. For this reason the most important organization of Muslims is against it. Maulana Mujadidi said in an insisting tone that this issue should be given attention and see what the Muslims want. He also indicated that he may take legal action against the Waqf Amendment Bill.

The Modi government had introduced the Waqf Amendment Bill in the last session of Parliament. From where it was sent to JPC. The Waqf Act is quite old and the Waqf boards were strengthened during the UPA government. For quite some time now, complaints have been received regarding land encroachment by Waqf Boards. The Waqf Board claimed a village in Tamil Nadu. Whereas, there is also a thousands years old temple there. Apart from this, the Waqf Board in Karnataka claimed possession of 1500 acres of land of a village. After the uproar, the government took a step back and removed the name of Waqf Board from government documents. Recently, there was a case of a village in Bihar being taken over by Waqf.
