A major accident occurred on the Bullet Train Project in Gujarat. Several concrete blocks fell at the construction site of the Bullet Train Project in Anand on Tuesday. There are reports of 3-4 laborers trapped between the fallen concrete blocks. Rescue work is going on at the spot. Anand police and fire department officials reached the spot.

Rescue operations are being carried out using cranes and excavation machines. A laborer has been rescued. He has been admitted to the hospital.

Giving more information on this matter, DSP Anand Gaurav Jasani said, ‘A girder being installed at the Bullet Train Project site collapsed on Tuesday evening. In this incident, 2 people were rescued and sent to the hospital. According to primary information, 1 or 2 more people may be trapped, an operation is being conducted to rescue them.
Construction of 12 bridges completed
Regarding the Bullet Train project, officials said on Sunday that the construction of 12 out of the total 20 river bridges in Gujarat for the 508 km long Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Corridor has been completed. National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) said that the 120 meter long bridge over Kharera river in Navsari district has recently been completed in Gujarat. This is the 12th such bridge.

The Bullet Train project covers Gujarat (352 km) and Maharashtra (156 km). There are plans to build a total of 12 stations in Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand/Nadiad, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati.
