Utility News Desk!!! A few days ago, Chhattisgarh government launched Dhanlaxmi Yojana to promote girls’ education, one of the objectives of which is to eliminate female feticide from the state. Under this scheme, a provision of Rs 1 lakh has been made by the Life Insurance Corporation of India to the daughters of the state at the age of 18 years. With the help of this amount, the daughters of the state will be able to become strong and self-reliant. There is a big difference in sex ratio in the state. The government is trying to improve it under this scheme. Let us understand how the common citizens there can take advantage of it.
The biggest benefit of this scheme will be that it will stop female feticide and promote girls’ education. According to the scheme, if all the prescribed conditions are fulfilled, the mother of the daughters will be given an amount of up to Rs 100,000 under the insurance scheme. These include birth registration of the girl child, full vaccination, school registration and education and not marrying till the age of 18 years. The amount given under the scheme will be given to them in installments. To benefit from this scheme, it is mandatory for the girl’s parents to be permanent residents of Chhattisgarh and it is mandatory to register the daughter at the time of birth under the scheme.
