New Delhi, November 8 (IANS). While addressing an election rally in Dhule, Maharashtra on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that ‘If we are united, we are safe’. Ratia Janata Party spokesperson R.P. Singh has supported his statement.
Speaking to IANS, a BJP spokesperson said, “Prime Minister Modi has absolutely rightly said that if we remain united, we will be safe, because whenever India is divided, our country has been attacked by external attackers. Recently, it also suffered huge losses due to infighting in Bangladesh. Similarly, if internal conflicts increase in India, it will only harm the country.”
He said that the Prime Minister means that if “the entire country remains one, Hindus remain one, then the rest will also unite and contribute to the progress of the country”, which is absolutely correct. When the country is united, there is progress.
He said, “All the schemes of Prime Minister Modi ji are the same for everyone, whether Hindu or Muslim. These schemes are not different for any religion, caste or community. This is against the governments of Congress and Akhilesh Yadav. It is not a matter of time, when it was asked which villages had Muslims living in them, electricity was given to them first, and to the rest later.”
R.P. Singh said that Prime Minister Modi has ensured that everyone gets benefits equally. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had also said that Muslims have the first right over the country’s resources, but now Prime Minister Modi has made it clear that if we remain united, we will be safe.
The BJP leader also supported PM Modi’s statement in which he had said that no power in the world can bring back Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. He said, “This article was abolished by the Parliament and also recognized by the Supreme Court. Despite this, Congress and some leaders are still trying to bring it back, even though it has become clear that Kashmir has been completely merged. Now we have to decide whether we want to promote separatism in Kashmir or maintain unity. If we talk about the Valmiki community of Kashmir, Prime Minister Modi has ensured that they get equal rights, they get equal opportunities in jobs, and they get the right to vote. Now the question is whether we want to retain those rights, or take them away. The society will have to decide whether we want to move the country forward by uniting, or we want to suffer losses by dividing it.”
