Amrit Vichar, Ayodhya: After the consecration of Ram Lalla, this time all the records of 14 Kosi Parikrama were broken. As the night deepened, the crowd of people circumambulating on the circumambulation path increased. After midnight, the situation became such that there was no space left for placing sesame seeds on the parikrama path. There was a flood of faith. The twin city echoed with the chants of Jai Shri Ram. Ramnagari remained buzzing with devotees for two days. Arrangements regarding security remained tight. Senior officers themselves were monitoring the parikrama. It is estimated that 35 lakh devotees will circumambulate.
This is the first parikrama fair after the consecration of Ramlala. Shri Ram is present among everyone. Ayodhya is his home. He is considered present at all times. Its effect was visible on the fair. More devotees reached Ayodhya than expected. This time more devotees from non-states were seen along with the local people for the parikrama. Their crowd had started gathering a day before the parikrama. As the evening approached on Saturday, Shraddha and Aastha started shaking. As the night deepened, the crowd of people walking barefoot increased.
Devotees doing parikrama say that after 10 pm the crowd suddenly increased so much that it was becoming difficult to walk. This situation continued till seven in the morning. It took people eight to 12 hours to complete the parikrama. The excited youth completed the parikrama in six hours also. The time for completion of the parikrama was 4:44 pm, but even after this, sporadic people were seen doing the parikrama. The Parikrama was running on the periphery of Faizabad city along with Ram Nagari. There were arrangements for civil facilities for those doing the parikrama.
Record of number of devotees broken
This time it is claimed that 30 to 35 lakh devotees will perform 14 Kosi Parikrama. In previous years, the number of people doing Parikrama used to be between 20 to 25 lakh. This time the increase in the number of devotees is being linked to the increase in the importance of Ayodhya after the consecration of Ram Lalla.
Long queue for darshan of Ram Lala and Hanuman ji
Crowds of devotees from outside are present in Ayodhya. Along with darshan and worship, there is a huge crowd in Ram temple and Hanumangarhi for darshan. After completing the parikrama in the morning and taking a bath in Saryu, the procession of devotees started towards Ram temple and Hanumangarhi. There was a long queue throughout the day to have darshan of Ramlala and Hanumanji. Along with this, there was a crowd of devotees in the temples like Nageshwar Nath, Kanak Bhawan etc.

There are more than five thousand temples in Ayodhya. There are temples in every house along every street. Devotees are gathered in these. A large number of devotees are in their respective families. They are going out to visit Ayodhya city in the morning and evening. Along with 14 Kosi Parikrama, the devotees also circumambulated the temples of Ram Nagari.
Many religious places on the path became the center of attraction
It was a new experience for the outside devotees doing the parikrama. Rajesh Kumar of Madhya Pradesh says that so many mythological places were found on the path that the name itself was thrilling. Names like Mouni Baba, Vaitarani, Surya Kund, Girja Kund, Nirmali Kund, Gupt Hari Sthal, Chakratirtha, Yam Sthal are counted on the parikrama path. It is said that I had read the names of these places in books, but when I met them on the road, I felt that life had become blessed.
There was a lot of shopping in the night fair
There was a huge crowd on the parikrama path from 10 pm to 7 am. During this time, one had to struggle hard even to cross the parikrama path and go to the other side. Refreshment shops remained busy throughout the night in the fair area. The shops remained decorated till Sunday evening.
Officers inspected
During the parikrama, Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal, IG Praveen Kumar, District Magistrate Chandra Vijay Singh, SSP Rajkaran Nayyar along with all the ADMs and Superintendents of Police kept inspecting during the parikrama. Was giving instructions to subordinates.
More devotees arrived than last time
District Magistrate Chandra Vijay Singh said that the parikrama has ended as per the auspicious time. This year all records were broken. Most of the people arrived. 30 to 35 lakh devotees are likely to circumambulate. Tight security arrangements were made. The parikrama was completed peacefully. No untoward incident was reported from anywhere.
