Jhansi Medical College Fire Incident: According to eyewitness, nurse tried to install oxygen pipe by lighting a match and fire broke out in Jhansi Medical College, 10 children died, matchstick lit by a nurse caused fire incident in Jhansi Medical College claims eyewitness

Jhansi. 10 children were burnt to death in a sudden fire on Friday night in the NICU of the Medical College in Jhansi, UP. At the same time, 16 children were seriously burnt. Now a big revelation has been made in this matter. According to news channel Aaj Tak, the fire started due to a burning match stick in the oxygen pipe and then flared up rapidly. According to the news channel, Bhagwan Das is an eyewitness to this fire. He told that the nurse lit a matchstick to fix the pipe of the oxygen cylinder in the NICU. The fire broke out as soon as the match was lit. Bhagwan Das told that he saved 3-4 children by wrapping them in his clothes.

The fire in Jhansi Medical College was so intense that windows and doors had to be broken to save the children. A fire safety audit was conducted in Jhansi Medical College in February this year and then a mock drill was also conducted in June to see the fire prevention preparedness. UP government has sought investigation report into Jhansi Medical College fire within 24 hours. The health department will conduct an investigation. The second investigation has been given to the police and fire brigade. Whereas, the third inquiry has been asked to be conducted by a magistrate. Now after the negligence on the part of the nurse comes to light, her role in the investigation can also be determined and strict action can be taken.
