Shurhozelie Liezietsu (English: Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu, born November 20, 1936) is a politician from the Indian political party ‘Naga People’s Front’. He served as the Chief Minister of Nagaland from 22 February 2017 to 19 July 2017.
Dr. Shurhozelie Lijitsu is a politician from Nagaland, a state located in the north-east of India, and the President of Nagaland People’s Front. On February 19, 2017, amidst the ongoing agitation demanding women’s reservation in local body elections, T.R. Zeliang had resigned from the post of Chief Minister. Subsequently, on February 22, 2017, Shurhozelie Lijitsu was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of the state. Shurhozelie Lijitsu resigned as Chief Minister on July 19, 2017, following which T.R. Zeliang again became the Chief Minister.
