Trains delayed and flight routes changed due to fog
There has been a significant change in the weather in Delhi-NCR since Sunday. Fog has increased in Delhi as the temperature has dropped. Train movement and flights have been affected due to fog and air pollution. Due to low visibility in bad weather, 14 flights were diverted at Delhi airport, while several flights were delayed. An officer gave this information.

He said that visibility has reduced due to fog in Delhi. Due to this, the operation of aircraft has been affected. Airlines like Air India, ‘SpiceJet’ and ‘IndiGo’ informed passengers through social media platforms that flights may be affected due to low visibility in the national capital which is battling high levels of pollution.
Flights were diverted to Jaipur
The official said that between 8.30 am and 3 pm, out of 14 flights, 13 were diverted to Jaipur and one to Dehradun. He said that some pilots had not received training for ‘CAT-3’ operations. Due to this the routes of flights had to be changed. Broadly speaking, ‘CAT-3’ allows trained pilots to fly or land aircraft in very low visibility conditions.
Many flights have been affected due to fog. Due to low visibility at various airports in India, Delhi Airport, Amritsar Airport and Chandigarh Airport have been most affected.
26% of IndiGo flights were delayed on Sunday. 43% of Air India flights were delayed on Sunday. 34% of SpiceJet flights were delayed on Sunday.
Due to low visibility at Delhi airport, flights are being diverted to Jaipur. Till now 8 flights have been diverted and reached Jaipur. One international and 7 domestic flights have been diverted.
