Bad lifestyle and family history are also big reasons
Uncontrolled diabetes affects almost all parts of the body. The biggest cause of kidney disease is diabetes. Dr. Manoj and Dr. Amit said that it badly damages the kidneys, brain, heart, eyes and nerves of the body. It also causes paralysis, diabetic foot, diabetic retinopathy. This year the theme of World Diabetes Day has been kept as Breaking the Barrier. That is, the lack of awareness regarding testing and treatment has to be removed. Once diabetes occurs, one should not only focus on controlling diabetes but should also try to save other organs.
● Do not consume sugar, salt, flour, refined oil
● Walk and exercise for at least 40 minutes every day
● Control obesity and weight, avoid stress
● Walk around every 20 minutes during continuous chair work.
● People with pre-diabetes should be alert and do regular exercise.
● Get your eyes, kidney and liver checked once a year
● Encourage children to play field games
● Do not consume fast food, pizza-burger, ice cream
Dr. Manoj, Dr. Amit and Dr. Neha Rai told that apart from unhealthy lifestyle, wrong eating habits and lack of exercise, family history is also a major reason for the increase in diabetes. Due to continuous hours of sitting, consumption of pizza, burgers, bread, fast food, sweets, excessive non-vegetarian food and negligible physical exertion, people are first becoming victims of obesity and then diabetes. Stress is also a major cause of diabetes. Sitting for long hours in front of mobile, TV, consumption of chips, snacks, fast food and distance from the field are the major causes of diabetes in children and teenagers. If parents are suffering from diabetes then their children soon fall prey to it. At least 10 percent of the victims reaching the hospital are below 20 years of age.
