बड़े भाई के तानों ने Salim Khan के मन में लगाई कामयाबी की आग, एक क्लिक में पढ़िए

Entertainment News Desk – Stand standing until you are asked to sit… This is a police station, not your father’s house… This line reminds of Zanjeer, which gave the Angry Young Man to Hindi cinema. The script and dialogues of this film were written by Salim-Javed, who were no less than a superstar themselves. The films written by this pair made many actors stars and also took the status of film writers to new heights. There was a time when films were sold in the name of Salim-Javed. The stars whom the world used to run after, used to run after Salim-Javed. His name was written in bold letters along with the hero on the movie posters. Today here we will talk about the veteran writer Salim Khan, whose early career was full of struggles. Some stories from the career of Salim Khan, who crossed the 87th milestone on 24th November, on his birthday. Born and brought up in Indore, Salim got his opportunity in films by chance, but he achieved success on the basis of his dedication. Salim Khan was very handsome in his youth and fit perfectly into the environment that existed for film heroes in those days.

Got an offer to be a hero in a wedding
Filmmaker K. Amarnath also attended a wedding in Indore. His film ‘Gaon Ko Gori’ was a huge hit. Salim Saheb also attended the wedding. When Amarnath saw him, he offered him to become a hero. Salim was a little hesitant with this sudden offer, but the producer explained to him that Dilip Kumar had also never worked on stage, but he was such a great actor. He also gave them some money. Salim agreed to go to Bombay (Mumbai), but the real turning point was yet to come, which turned his struggle into stubbornness.

In an interview, Salim Khan had told that when he was leaving for Mumbai, his elder brother taunted him, ‘He will not be able to live there. He will come back here. Otherwise he will write a letter every fifteen days asking for money. On this Salim Sahib told his elder brother that neither will he return without achieving anything nor will he ask for money. (Bombay) Salim Khan stayed at the Marina Guest House in Mumbai, where he rented a bed in a 10 by 10 room, as the rent for the entire room was very high. Seeing the daily struggle, Salim Khan often felt like returning, but then he remembered his elder brother’s taunt and his reply. This incident stopped Salim Khan in Mumbai itself. Well, he played a supporting role in the film Amarnath, but the film was a flop and Salim Khan’s debut was completely ignored.

Acted in 25 films
Before seeing success as a writer, Salim had played small roles in about 25 films. There were some which were not mentioned in the credit roll. He met his partner Javed Akhtar during the film Sarhadi Lootere. This is Salim’s last film as an actor. Javed was associated with this film as a clapper boy and later he also wrote the dialogues. The credit for giving a break to this pair goes to Rajesh Khanna, on whose script Salim-Javed had worked in the film Haathi Mere Saathi. After the success of the film, his career took off and then Andaz made him a writer star.

There was no money to pay Salman’s fees
Despite being from a good family, there came a time during the struggle when Salim Khan did not even have money to pay Salman’s fees. His elder brother’s words turned Salim’s struggle into stubbornness. Salman Khan mentioned this incident in Kapil Sharma Show. Salman was studying in fourth class at that time. One day Salim was returning from work. On the way he saw Salman standing outside his class. When he asked the reason for this, Salman told that the principal had asked him to stand under the flag post. Hearing his son’s words, Salim went to the principal and asked what was the matter? He told that Salman has not deposited his fees, hence he has been made to stand outside the class as punishment. Salim said that he has to pay the fees, not the child, hence he should be punished. Due to financial constraints he could not pay the fees. After this Salim went and stood under the flag.
