Amrit Vichar, Ayodhya: A cow marriage ceremony was organized at Karsevakpuram Shriram Goshala for the welfare of Go Nandishwar and increase in cow progeny. During this, cow devotees performed the marriage of cow Nandi and cow girl with musical instruments.
Former state president of North Andhra Pradesh Cow Protection Department, M Chandrashekhar couple solemnized the marriage of Gokanya and Nandi with Nandishwar Mantra in Yagyashala temple. Hyderabad’s Acharya Parvatishwar Sharma, while chanting mantras, offered Akshat, Roli, flowers, clothes etc. and fed fruits and sweets to all the cows.
After the havan with chanting of mantras, more than two dozen women danced to the tune of Dhol Mridang. During this period, sweets and sweets were also distributed to the players. Sarojini, Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Umesh Porwal, Virendra, Manish, Abhishek, Manoj Ojha etc. were present in the program. According to belief, the marriage of cow and bull is done for ancestral peace and for the growth of descendants, but according to religious scholars, there is no mention of the marriage of cow and Nandi. However, this marriage symbolizes the religious sentiments of the people.
