New Delhi. There is a churning going on in Maharashtra regarding the CM face of the Mahayuti coalition government. Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar have reached Delhi for a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Eknath Shinde is also going to arrive soon. Probably the name of the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra will be decided in this meeting. Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar has told about his party NCP and his plans for the future. Ajit Pawar said that NCP was earlier a national party and it will be my endeavor to give it the same status again. Ajit said that for this, all NCP workers will work together and include youth and women with them and we will achieve success.
On the question of NCP splitting into two factions and whether the party is real or fake, Ajit said that there is no question of real and fake party. If the Election Commission has allotted us the party symbol, the meaning is clear. Let us tell you that Ajit Pawar broke the NCP by rebelling against his uncle Sharad Pawar. While talking about the post of Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar said that before the elections, there was no discussion regarding CM face among the parties involved in the Mahayuti alliance. Everyone had decided that after the elections a decision would be taken sitting together as was going to happen.
Sarcasm on Mahavikas Aghadi regarding EVM
Ajit Pawar took a dig at Congress, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena and Sharad Pawar’s NCP-SCP raising questions on EVMs in the opposition Mahavikas Aghadi alliance in Maharashtra. Referring to the results of the Lok Sabha elections held this year, he said that in the Lok Sabha elections, when more seats were received than expected, the EVMs were fine and now in the Assembly elections, when the public has rejected them, the EVMs have gone haywire.
