Dhanurasana is best for diabetic patients, know the way to do it

Lifestyle News Desk: Diabetic patients are advised to do yoga and exercise along with diet to keep their sugar level under control. According to experts, there are many asanas in yoga. By practicing these regularly, a person can easily keep his sugar level under control. The name of one of these asanas is Dhanurasana. Yes, Dhanurasana is such an asana, while doing which the body appears to be in a bent posture. For this reason this asana is called Dhanurasana. Doing Dhanurasana improves the functioning of pancreas and intestines. In diabetes, the pancreas stops producing insulin. Insulin is a type of hormone that keeps blood sugar levels normal. By doing Dhanurasana, sugar remains under control. Additionally, the liver, pancreas, and enzyme-producing organs become active. In such a situation, if you are a diabetic patient then know how to do Dhanurasana to control sugar.

Correct way to do Dhanurasana-
To do Dhanurasana, first lie down on your stomach, bend your knees and bring them close to your waist. While doing this, hold both ankles with your hands and lift your head, chest and thighs. Try to put your body weight on your lower abdomen. Now try to pull your body forward by holding your feet. Do this asana as per your capacity for about 15-20 seconds.

Who should not do Dhanurasana?
People who already have problems like back pain, stomach pain, migraine or headache along with high and low blood pressure should avoid doing this asana. Pregnant women should also not practice this asana.

-Useful in reducing belly fat.
-Helps in increasing brain concentration.
-Doing Dhanurasana purifies the blood, it is very beneficial for diabetic patients.
-By doing Dhanurasana one gets relief from physical and mental stress.
-Helps in strengthening joints and improving respiratory function.
