Eknath Shinde will not become Deputy CM
Senior leader of Shinde faction of Shiv Sena, Sanjay Shirsat has made it clear that Eknath Shinde will not become the Deputy CM in the new government of Maharashtra. He said that after being the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, it would not be appropriate for him to become the Deputy CM. He said that in such a situation any other party leader can be made Deputy CM.
Meanwhile, it is also being speculated that Eknath Shinde can be made a minister in the Modi government, but Shirsat says that Shinde will not leave Maharashtra. He will serve the people of the state and try to strengthen the party here. He said that the party will soon nominate another leader for the post of Deputy CM.
Shinde himself will decide the name
It is considered certain that Ajit Pawar will become the Deputy CM from NCP Kota in the new government of Maharashtra. He also worked as Deputy CM in Shinde’s government. Even before this he had worked as Deputy CM. However, it is not yet clear that if Eknath Shinde does not become the Deputy CM, which party leader will be given the command of the post of Deputy CM.
However, Sanjay Shirsat says that Eknath Shinde himself will decide who will be made the Deputy CM from Shinde Sena. However, Shinde has not yet given any indication in this regard. Therefore there is speculation about many names.
Shrikant Shinde’s name is most discussed
The name most discussed for the post of Deputy CM is that of Eknath Shinde’s son Shrikant Shinde. Shrikant Shinde is currently a Lok Sabha member. It is being said that if Eknath Shinde does not become Deputy CM, then he can put forward the name of his son Shrikant Shinde in his place. Through this, he can take steps to establish his son in Maharashtra politics.
Leader of the second faction of Shiv Sena and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray has already taken steps towards establishing his son Aditya Thackeray in Maharashtra politics. Aditya Thackeray has also worked as a minister in the Uddhav cabinet. In such a situation, it is believed that to counter this strategy of Uddhav, Eknath Shinde can put forward his son’s name.
