New Delhi, November 29 (IANS). In the winter session of Delhi Assembly, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal targeted the central government over ‘law and order’ in the national capital. He said that criminal incidents are continuously increasing. Many gangs are operating in Delhi and Delhi is becoming the gangster capital. But, the central government is maintaining silence.
He said that in Delhi we have fulfilled the responsibility of repairing schools, hospitals, roads and electricity. But, the law and order situation of Delhi is not being handled by the Central Government and the Home Minister. Murders and bomb blasts are taking place in Delhi. The condition of law and order in Delhi has become such that today everyone is scared. People are getting recovery calls. Women are being raped and murdered.
Targeting the Central Government, he said that today Delhi is known as ‘Gangster Capital’ in the world. He also raised questions on Lawrence Bishnoi gang and said that how it is operating from Sabarmati jail and its people are demanding extortion and threatening people across the country. How is Lawrence Bishnoi running the gang while living in Gujarat jail?
Arvind Kejriwal said that Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang has created terror. One thing I cannot understand is that Lawrence Bishnoi is lodged in Sabarmati jail of BJP ruled Gujarat, so how is he running his gang while in jail? Crime is at its peak in Delhi, bullets are being fired, murders are taking place. BJP is maintaining silence in this matter.
He said that BJP has made Delhi the capital of crime. Law and order has broken down in Delhi, crimes against women and businessmen are increasing. People everywhere are living in fear and terror. There is fear among women and businessmen due to deteriorating law and order in Delhi. Ten years ago, when we got the responsibility, we built schools, colleges, arranged for water and electricity. But, the responsibility of security lies with the Home Ministry.
