Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal was recently declared a pensioner by Akal Takht, the largest organization of Sikhs. Sukhbir Singh Badal had appeared before the Akal Takht and apologized in this matter. Akal Takht had ordered Sukhbir Singh Badal to serve in the Golden Temple. Sukhbir Singh Badal was doing this service. Sukhbir Singh Badal was to work as a sevadar at the gate of the Golden Temple on Wednesday under Seva. He was sitting on a wheelchair. Sukhbir Singh Badal had a spear in his hand. Meanwhile, a person came towards them and fired a pistol. Then some people present there jumped and caught the attacker.
Sukhbir Singh Badal has also been an MP. Recently, Sukhbir Singh Badal had announced his resignation from the post of Akali Dal President. His wife Harsimrat Kaur Badal is a Lok Sabha MP. Sukhbir Singh Badal’s father Prakash Singh Badal was the CM of Punjab several times. Akali Dal was earlier a part of NDA, but it left BJP during the farmers’ agitation against agricultural laws. However, recently there was news that Akali Dal may once again join NDA.
