Take care of your health first, Mark Mobius advises Generation Z investors

New Delhi, December 4 (IANS). Generation Z wants to get rich very quickly. In this series, veteran global investor Mark Mobius advised Generation Z investors to take care of their health first.

Speaking to IANS, 88-year-old Mobius said that in his new book titled ‘The Book of Wealth: A Young Investor’s Guide to Wealth and Happiness’, he emphasizes that the first thing you should focus on is being healthy.

“Take care of your health. Because you can be rich, but if you are not healthy, it will not be good. After all, you need to be patient,” said Mobius, who runs the Mobius EM Opportunities fund for emerging markets. “

He said, “Some people become rich quickly because of their ability or luck or sometimes both ability and luck but most of the people are not able to do so, so it is better that you take your time in investing in good stocks, hold them.” Do it and then wait for the returns.”

He said the truth is that “good stocks will always perform well.”

Regarding investing in gold and silver keeping in mind the geopolitical situation, the global investor said that one should always have physical gold in the portfolio.

“I recommend maybe 10 percent or maybe 20 percent gold in your portfolio. But even 10 percent would be fine. But you would be better off investing in stocks and equities,” he suggested.

According to him, all the stock markets are rising rapidly at the moment and things are going to change very fast and there is no doubt that the markets will go down eventually.

Mark Mobius told IANS: “The question is when, and the good news is that bull markets last longer than bear markets and when bear markets go down, bull markets go up by a higher percentage. So pessimists. It’s better to be optimistic than to be.”

“I believe the bull market in India, with intermittent reforms, will continue to perform very well as the country moves towards a greener economy and higher growth rates,” he said.
