Mumbai: A case of country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi receiving death threats has come to light. Mumbai Police received this threatening message on Saturday. In the message received, there was talk of carrying out a blast targeting PM Modi. Regarding this matter, officials said that the number from which this message was sent has been traced to Ajmer, Rajasthan. After receiving the message, a police team was immediately sent to Ajmer to arrest the suspect.

Mentioned about being an ISI agent

Officials said that a WhatsApp message was received early in the morning on the helpline of Mumbai Traffic Police. In this message, an agent of Pakistani intelligence agency ‘ISI’ was mentioned. Apart from this, there was talk of a conspiracy to carry out a bomb blast targeting PM Modi in the message. The officer said that the investigating officers suspect that the person sending the message was mentally disturbed or was under the influence of alcohol. He said that the matter is being investigated. An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Judicial Code. Even before this, the helpline of Mumbai Traffic Police has received fake threatening messages many times.

I have received threats before too

Let us tell you that earlier in November, a threatening call was received to the traffic control room of Mumbai Police, where the caller claimed that a plan was made to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to police sources, the caller has been identified as a woman. Police said a case has been registered at Amboli police station in Mumbai and efforts are on to nab him. Police said initial reports suggest the woman is mentally disturbed, but officials are pursuing the investigation following standard procedures. He said that the police have started investigation and are following all protocols while keeping an eye on the suspect. (input- agency)
