The weather has taken a turn in Delhi-NCR and various parts of North India. Saturday morning was the coldest of the season in Delhi, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 7.1 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees below normal. There may be light fog and partly cloudy sky on Sunday. At the same time, there are chances of light rain in Jharkhand on Sunday and Monday, along with which the temperature is expected to drop.
Due to falling temperature and reduced wind speed in Delhi, the pollution level has once again touched the poor category, with the AQI reaching 233 on Saturday. The temperature dropped below eight degrees in various areas of the capital, including Lodhi Road at 7.2 and Aya Nagar at 6.6 degrees Celsius.
The effect of western disturbance will be visible from December 8, due to which cold will increase in the western Himalayas and north-western plains. There is a possibility of light rain or snowfall especially in some parts of Darjeeling and Kalimpong.
In Sikar, Rajasthan, the temperature was recorded at five degrees Celsius on Friday night, while in Mount Abu also the minimum temperature was five degrees Celsius. The temperature in Srinagar has also reached 4.1 degrees Celsius and further decline is expected there.
