Civil Services Main Examination 2024 was conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on 20, 21, 22, 28 and 29 September 2024 at designated examination centers across the country. Now the candidates who participated in this recruitment exam are waiting for the release of their results which can end anytime. If we look at last year’s pattern, UPSC releases the result of Mains exam on 8th December. So it is expected that UPSC can soon provide the merit list on the official website upsc.gov.in.
Cutoff will also be declared along with the result
Along with releasing the main exam result, UPSC will also release the category wise cutoff. Candidates who will secure the prescribed cutoff marks in the main examination will be considered qualified for the main examination which is the final stage of this recruitment.
You will be able to download the merit list by following these steps
To download UPSC CSE Main Exam Merit List, you first have to visit the official website upsc.gov.in. On the home page of the website, you have to click on the result related PDF link in the What’s New section. Now the result will open on the screen in PDF format from where you can download it. After this the candidates can check their roll number/name in it. Candidates whose name/roll number will appear in the list will be considered successful for the final stage. The application process for this recruitment was completed by UPSC from 14 February to 6 March 2024. After this the preliminary examination was conducted on 16 June 2024 and the result was declared on 1 July 2024. The main examination was held from 20 to 29 September 2024 for the candidates who qualified the preliminary examination. Now after the release of the result, the candidates will have to appear in the interview/personality test. After this the final merit list of the candidates will be released.
