Indian Student Murder In Canada: A sensational case of murder of a second student of Indian origin has come to light in Canada within a week. 20-year-old Harshandeep Singh was shot dead in Edmonton, Canada on Friday (December 06, 2024). Along with studying in Canada, Harshandeep Singh also worked as a security guard. Canadian Police has arrested two people for the murder of an Indian.
Video of murder surfaced
Shocking CCTV footage of this entire incident has also surfaced. It is seen in the CCTV footage that first Harshandeep Singh was pushed down the stairs and then he was shot from behind.
Police had received information about firing
According to Edmonton Police, this incident of murder took place on December 6. Police had received a report of shots fired inside an apartment. The police team that reached the spot found Harshandeep unconscious on the stairs. After this the police immediately took him to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
Police arrested 2 people
At present, the police have arrested two people named Ivan Rain and Judith Solto in this case. The age of both is said to be around 30 years. Both have been charged with first-degree murder. In Canada, first-degree murder is defined as ‘the planned and deliberate killing of a person’. The police have also recovered the weapon.
An Indian was murdered earlier also
Meanwhile, let us also tell here that this incident took place just a few days after the stabbing death of 22-year-old Indian student Gursis Singh in Sarnia city of Ontario. Gurasis Singh was studying business in a college in Canada. The police had arrested the accused Crossley Hunter in the case. Hunter and Gurassis lived in the same room.
