The Fake Passport Investigation Wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB), Chennai has registered a complaint against the accused giving fake passports as part of a major operation. Bureau of Immigration officials have said that information has been received about many people who have got their passports made wrongly.
Information received about many agents
It has been informed that information has been received about several agents from Madurai, Sivaganga, and Theni districts who are involved in this fraud and raids have also been conducted. Many Tours and Travels companies have been raided by the authorities and passports have been recovered. Police have arrested Kalyan, Nallah Mohammed, P. Sathishkumar, R. Nazar Ali, M. Bhousal Rahman, and P. Kumar in this case.
Police have found that the gang used to target people who have returned from abroad because they have violated visa rules in some way. Serial people used to say that they will make a new passport and send it abroad. He used to get Aadhar and PAN cards made using fake documents. 55 passports, laptops, computers have been recovered by the officials.
