The name of Artificial Intelligence i.e. AI is heard a lot these days. AI is said to be the ‘future’ of technology. However, schoolchildren are largely unaware of AI. In such a situation, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started a new initiative. CBSE has announced to organize a virtual learning session on the topic of AI. Children from class 8-12 will be able to benefit from this campaign.
Schedule of Free Sessions
Let us tell you that this online virtual learning session of CBSE will be organized on 16 December 2024. Children of class 8-12 studying in all schools across the country will be able to be a part of this virtual learning session. In this session, children will be exposed to AI skills, new technologies, digital credentials and future-ready skills.

There will also be an offline session
CBSE has also announced to conduct a special offline session for class 11th and 12th students. This session will run till 4:30 pm at SAI International School, Bhubaneswar. Candidates who are interested in AI and want to learn about AI can attend this session for free.
The connection is to PMKBY 4.0
Let us tell you that CBSE has started this initiative under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. The fourth version of the scheme, PMKBY 4.0, was launched last year in Budget 2023. Under this, such sessions will be organized for the skill development of children in all government and private schools of CBSE stream. To accelerate PMKBY 4.0, the government has introduced new courses like drones, 3D printing, robotics and AI.
Mentioned in NEP 2020
Let us tell you that in the new education policy (NEP 2020), emphasis has also been laid on the development of education. Under this, vocational education and training programs for children have also been included in the school curriculum. Meanwhile, this initiative of CBSE will prove to be very helpful for the children.
