Belagavi: 2 MLAs of Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka have committed ‘open rebellion’. According to reports, in the Karnataka Assembly on Friday, two party MLAs S. T. Somasekhar and Shivaram Hebbar disregarded the party’s decision. Both these MLAs did not walk out from the assembly along with other party members and remained sitting on their seats. ‘Muniratna accused of making casteist statement’
According to reports, some Congress MLAs under the leadership of PM Narendraswamy attacked Bharatiya Janata Party MLA N. Demanded to raise some cases against Munirathna. Immediately after zero hour, Karnataka Assembly Speaker U. T. Khadar allowed Ashok to raise the Waqf issue. On this Narendraswamy and some other members demanded that they be allowed to raise the issue of Muniratna. Let us tell you that the MLAs have accused Muniratna of making casteist statements. Meanwhile, Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda also requested that he be allowed to give a statement on the rains in the state and the damage caused by it.

Angered by this behavior of the ruling party, Ashok along with all the other BJP MLAs made comments targeting the government. After this, when all the BJP MLAs walked out, Somashekhar remained sitting on his seat. Later Shivaram Hebbar also joined Somashekhar. Recently, in the core committee meeting of Karnataka BJP, it was decided to take action against both Somashekhar and Hebbar by either suspending them or in consultation with the high command, demanding their immediate disqualification as MLAs.
