Dhaka: Since the overthrow of Sheikh Hasina’s government, Hindus are facing continuous atrocities in Bangladesh. Its relations with India have also deteriorated. Now the interim government of Bangladesh has said that it wants strong relations based on mutual respect and equality with all countries including India. Adviser on Foreign Affairs Mohammad Tauheed Hussain made the comments during two separate meetings with officials, journalists, leaders and intellectuals in Raipura and Belabo upazilas of Narsingdi, Dhaka Tribune newspaper reported. He said Bangladesh has sent a message to India expressing its desire for good relations, but it should be based on mutual interests.
What did you say about the elections?
Hossain said Bangladesh wants good relations with all countries on the basis of respect and equality, and the government is working towards this goal. Hussain also stressed the interim government’s commitment to fair governance, including addressing the concerns of the public, including students, and implementing reforms aimed at ensuring fair elections. He said that after these reforms, political power will be transferred to elected leaders.
‘Time to take action on Bangladesh’
Meanwhile, let us also tell here that recently, Indian origin member of the US Congress (Parliament) Shri Thanedar, while raising the issue of attacks on minority Hindus in Bangladesh, had said that now the time has come that the Parliament should take action on this matter. . Thanedar had said in the House of Representatives, the lower house of the US Parliament, “The majority mob has destroyed Hindu temples, Hindu deities and Hindus practicing their religion peacefully.” He had said, “Now is the time.” It is time for the US Congress and the US government to take action.
