Vijay Mallya And Nirav Modi: This big news came about Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi, who fled abroad after defrauding the banks' money, Finance Minister announced - will not spare anyone, Crores of rupees returned to banks by confiscating properties of fugitive Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi. Modi

New Delhi. The Modi government has compensated for the loss by auctioning properties worth thousands of crores of Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi, who fled to Britain after embezzling money from government banks. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman gave this information in the Lok Sabha during the discussion on supplementary demand for grants. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the government has returned Rs 14131.6 crore to the banks by selling the properties of Vijay Mallya. At the same time, Nirav Modi’s assets worth Rs 1052.58 crore have been given to the banks. Properties worth Rs 2565.90 crore of Nirav Modi’s maternal uncle Mehul Choksi have also been confiscated and the Modi government is going to auction them.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman told in the Lok Sabha that the government has taken action in the National Spot Exchange Limited (NSEL) case and returned assets worth Rs 17.47 crore to those who invested in it. He said that ED has so far returned properties worth Rs 22280 crore to the victims and claimants in many cases. The Finance Minister said that the Modi government has not spared any criminal involved in fraud. He announced in the Lok Sabha that the money which has to be returned to the banks will be ensured. He said that after the implementation of the Black Money Act of 2015, many taxpayers themselves are coming forward to disclose foreign assets. The number of such taxpayers has increased to 2 lakh.

After assuming the post of PM in 2014, Narendra Modi had announced to intensify the war against black money and corruption. He had clearly said that whoever has looted the country’s treasury will not be spared under any circumstances. Modi also signed an agreement with Switzerland at the government level for this. India also got information about the deposits of Indians in Swiss banks. At the same time, the effort to extradite Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi, who fled to Britain after embezzling bank money, is also likely to be successful in the coming days. The courts in Britain have given the green signal for the extradition of Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi. All these fugitives will be sent to jail after being brought to the country.
