Here, a three-year-old girl has fallen into a 150 feet deep borewell, to save her the NDRF and administration teams have been working for the third day today, but no significant success has been achieved. Now umbrella technique is being used to save the girl. Let us tell you that in the last seven years, 47 children have died due to falling into borewells in Rajasthan.
Bhupendra had dug a borewell outside his house in Badyali Dhani in Kotputli-Behror district of Rajasthan, but left it open due to not getting water till 700 feet. Last Monday, Bhupendra’s two daughters Chetna (3) and Kavya (8) were playing, during which Chetna’s foot slipped, due to which she fell into the borewell. There has been a stir in the administration after the news of the girl falling into the borewell.
After receiving the information, NDRF and administration teams reached the spot and started the rescue operation, which continues for the third day today. To take out the girl, NDRF resorted to indigenous jugaad, after which digging was done with a piling machine, but due to the sandy ground, there is a danger of soil subsidence. After this the rescue team tried to pull the girl up, but got no success. After this, umbrella technique is now being used.
At the same time, it is being told that the activity of the girl was being monitored through the camera, but now it has stopped being visible on the camera. After this, digging has also been started with JCB. At the same time, the villagers have accused the administration of negligence. He says that the administrative authorities have not taken this matter seriously and are resorting only to home-made tricks.
Let us tell you that recently Aryan had died after falling into a borewell in Dausa district. After this the administration had issued an advisory to close all the borewells. Despite this the borewells are still open.
47 children died in Rajasthan in 7 years
According to disaster management data, there have been many incidents of children falling into borewells in the last 7 years in Rajasthan. So far 47 children have died in these incidents. Let us tell you that fifteen children died in 2018, five in 2019, eighteen in 2020, six in 2021 and two in 2024.
