He played this character with so much passion that even today people see the image of Meghnad in him. Actor Vijay Arora was born on 27 December 1944 in Amritsar, Punjab. He won the gold medal at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). In the year 1972, he entered the Bollywood industry with the film ‘Zaroorat’. Reena Roy was with him in this film. When Vijay started his career in the seventies, along with the Hindi film industry, Rajesh Khanna was also ruling the hearts of the people. It is said that Vijay’s increasing popularity after Yaadon Ki Baaraat made Rajesh Khanna feel insecure.

When Vijay played this character, he was about 43 years old. He died of stomach cancer in 2007.
