Leg injury suffered a year ago and unbearable pain in the growing bone of the knee. Leaving all this behind, badminton player Saurabh Verma from Dhar district of MP made a brilliant comeback after two months of hard training and won the Russian Open Badminton Tournament. The bone was growing with age…
Saurabh’s father Sudhir Verma said, he was suffering from heel injury for a year. Apart from this, the bone of his left knee has been enlarged since childhood. Bones also grow with age. This hurts him. Due to this he had to withdraw from the French Open and another international tournament. However, with intensive training from the physio, he was able to overcome the pain.
Your strategy to win every match
After winning the match, Saurabh said, I made a strategy to focus on every match. That is, how to win the match that is to be held and with whom. Only this strategy worked and we reached the finals. The shuttle was not visible due to the wide background in the final. I couldn’t understand how to play. Due to this the first game was lost 11-5. As soon as the side was changed the shuttle became clearly visible. The second game was won by mastering the rhythm and rhythm of the shuttle. In the third game, I was again on the same side, but I maintained my composure. Dealing with this difficult time was a challenge for me. Then as soon as they reached the other side, they picked up the pace and won the match. The background with the court and shuttle plays a major role in the match. Every player makes strategy on this basis. I did the same
Saurabh’s younger brother Sameer Verma is also an international badminton player. They will play in the World Championship starting in China from Monday. World number-19 Sameer has played in International Challenge, Grampy and Super Series. Sameer has defeated his brother Saurabh in the finals of the International Challenge in Mumbai in 2015 and the finals of the Senior National Championship in 2016.
The family watched the score on the net
This time, since the tournament was not telecast live, the family only watched the scores on the net. Saurabh’s father and badminton coach Sudhir Verma said that this success will improve Saurabh’s rank and he will also become mentally strong.
