Jaipur. Deputy Commissioner of Police Jaipur Uttar Rashi Dogra Dudi (IPS) said that under the “Operation Clean Sweep” being conducted in Jaipur city under the guidelines of Police Commissioner Jaipur Biju George Joseph, drug trafficking persons have been arrested. Strict action is being taken against him.
The police team, while conducting continuous surveillance and collecting information for prevention of drug trafficking, DST Jaipur North, Manoj Kumar Kani 7197, received credible information that a person was lying in the dark behind a closed tea stall near Rajeshwar Mahadev Temple, Jalupura. Taking advantage of this, he is trying to sell illegal drug smack.
Based on the information, police station in-charge Prakash Chand Veer and the team of District Special Team Jaipur North took immediate action and arrested the said person. The arrested accused identified himself as Faizan Khan (22 years), son of Noor Mohammad, resident of house no. 297, described as Shaheed Indra Jyoti Nagar, Kachchi Basti, Bhatta Basti, Jaipur.
During the search, 8.25 grams of illegal drug smack was recovered from the accused, which was confiscated. A case has been registered against the accused under Section 8/21 NDPS Act under case number 256/2024 at Police Station Jalupura, Jaipur North.
Further investigation is going on related to the smuggling of illegal drug smack by the accused.
