New Delhi, December 31 (IANS). Before the beginning of the new year, ISRO has given good news to the countrymen. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully launched Spadex mission into space. Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed happiness on this achievement of ISRO on social media platform X.
In an ex-post, the Union Home Minister wrote that India is moving towards becoming the fourth country to master space docking. Congratulations to ISRO team on the successful launch of Spadex mission. This is a spectacular breakthrough that opens a new path for India in space docking technology. My best wishes to our talented people for the journey ahead.
BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde posted on social media platform X and wrote that ISRO’s new record. Congratulations to the entire ISRO team on the successful launch of Spadex mission by PSLV-C60 rocket. With the success of this campaign, India will become the fourth country to acquire this technology. This important achievement of ISRO by the end of 2024 is going to make 140 crore countrymen proud.
It is noteworthy that under the Space Docking Experiment (Spadex) mission, two satellites were launched from Sriharikota on December 30 through PSLV-C60 rocket. The rocket successfully placed both the satellites in the same orbit at some distance apart.
“Spadex deployed! Successful separation of Spadex satellites is another milestone in India’s space journey,” ISRO said in a post on social media platform X.
Earlier on the launch of the rocket, he had written, “Liftoff! PSLV-C60 successfully launches Spadex and 24 payloads.”
After America, Russia and China, India will now become the fourth country to master docking technology.
Minister of State for Space Affairs Jitendra Singh wrote on Twitter on this success, “India becomes the fourth country to join the list of select countries to take steps towards space docking capability through its indigenously developed ‘Indian Docking System’ It has become.”
Singh said this technology will pave the way for “Gaganyaan” and “Indian Space Station” to travel beyond the sky.
ISRO said that SPADEX (Space Docking Experiment) is a pioneering mission to establish India’s capability in orbital docking, a critical technology for future human spaceflight and satellite servicing missions.
Mastering space docking technology can help India not only join the exclusive club of spacefaring nations. It is also important for India’s upcoming space missions, including the Moon mission, establishment of the Indian Space Station and lunar missions like Chandrayaan-4 without GNSS support from Earth.
