New Delhi. Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal found himself in a very strange situation today. What happened was that Arvind Kejriwal called a press conference today in which he was targeting PM Narendra Modi and listing the shortcomings of the Central Government’s Ayushman scheme. Not only this, he praised the health system of Delhi and described the Sanjeevani scheme recently announced by him as better. Then a person stood there and alleged that he was not being treated in the Delhi hospital.
Standing in the middle of Kejriwal’s PC, this person lifted his shirt and told about his illness, on which the former Delhi CM said, I will get you treated. Kejriwal asked the stage to note down their names and numbers. In fact, today PM Modi handed over the keys of 1,675 newly constructed flats in Swabhiman Apartment built in Ashok Vihar to the beneficiaries for all the people living in slums in Delhi. During this, the PM took a jibe at Kejriwal and said that I too could have built a glass palace but for me it was only a dream that the countrymen should get permanent houses.
Along with this, PM Modi also said that the Ayushman scheme which has been started by the Central Government for free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh for the elderly, has not been implemented by the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi, hence the people of Delhi are not aware of this scheme.
