CPC Will Send Summon To Meta On Mark Zuckerberg's Statement: Central Parliamentary Committee will send summons to 'Meta' on Mark Zuckerberg's statement

New Delhi. The Central Parliamentary Committee will send a notice to his company Meta on Mark Zuckerberg’s statement regarding the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Mark Zuckerberg is the CEO of Meta, the company that owns Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram. Zuckerberg had recently claimed in a podcast that the governments of most of the countries including India had to face defeat in the elections held after Covid. BJP MP and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Communication-Information Technology Nishikant Dubey has said that summons will be sent to Meta for spreading misinformation.

My committee for this misinformation @MetaMeta Will call. Misinformation about any democratic country tarnishes the image of the country. That organization will have to apologize to the Indian Parliament and the people for this mistake. https://t.co/HulRl1LF4z

BJP MP wrote on social media post, said that my committee will call Meta. Misinformation about any democratic country tarnishes the image of the country. That organization will have to apologize to the Indian Parliament and the people for this mistake. Earlier, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had rejected this comment of Meta CEO Zuckerberg and expressed a strong reaction on it. He had said that as the world’s largest democracy, India held the 2024 elections with more than 640 million voters. The people of India reiterated their trust in the NDA led by PM Narendra Modi. Zuckerberg’s claim that most of the existing governments, including India, lost in the 2024 elections after Covid is factually incorrect.

Ashwini Vaishnav had said that from free food for 800 million people, 2.2 billion free vaccines and assistance to countries around the world during Covid, to leading India as the fastest growing major economy, PM Modi’s third term The decisive victory of the tenure is a proof of good governance and public trust. In such a situation, giving misinformation from Zuckerberg’s side is disappointing. He taught Zuckerberg to maintain facts and credibility.
