The National Testing Agency (NTA) had postponed the UGC NET exam scheduled to be held on January 15, 2025. Now the University Grants Commission i.e. UGC has released a new schedule for the National Eligibility Test (NET). According to the revised schedule, now these examinations will be conducted on January 21 and 27, 2025. The updated admit card will be available soon on the official website of UGC NET, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
Why were the exams postponed?
The UGC NET exam scheduled to be held on January 15 was postponed due to Pongal, Makar Sankranti and other festivals. NTA had issued an official notice for this on January 13. The notice states that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the convenience of the candidate and festivals.
The examination will be conducted in two shifts.
This examination will be held on January 21, 2025 in the morning shift, while the examination to be held on January 27 will be held in the evening shift. The examination will be held in the morning shift from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, which will include Indian Knowledge System, Malayalam, Urdu, Labor Welfare/Marital Management/Industrial Relations/Human Resource Management, Criminology, Tribal and Regional Language/Literature. , Folk Literature, Konkani and Environmental Science subjects. The exam to be held on January 27, 2025 will be held from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, which includes Sanskrit, Mass Communication and Journalism, Japanese, Performing Arts (Dance, Drama, Theatre), Electronic Science, Women’s Studies. Law is a Nepali subject.
