Due to which melting may increase. There is a possibility of dense fog in most of the districts of UP. Normal life is affected due to fog and cold in Delhi. There was dense fog on Tuesday morning also. Due to which visibility remained very low. This also affected the trains and flights to and from Delhi. At the same time, the AQI of the capital Delhi also remained in the poor category. IMD has issued a rain alert in the areas around Delhi on January 15 and 16. According to the department, a new western disturbance may become active in North India today. Meanwhile, there has been a slight increase in the temperature of Delhi in the last 24 hours. Further decline in mercury may be seen due to cloudy sky and rain on 15-16 January.
Fog outbreak in many cities of UP
Apart from the capital Delhi, the effect of cold and fog is being seen in many districts of UP. Cold wave continues in most of the districts from Varanasi to Prayagraj. Cold continues in the mountains as well as in the plains. Cold and fog can be seen in many cities of UP. IMD has predicted rain in many districts of the state on Wednesday and Thursday.
Cold day warning in Rajasthan
The hilly state of Kashmir is also now in the grip of cold wave. The minimum temperature remained below freezing point at many places in the valley. However, the weather is likely to remain normal for the next few days. The minimum temperature in the capital Srinagar was recorded at minus 4 degrees. Severe cold continues in the plains state of Rajasthan also. The lowest temperature recorded in Sirohi on Monday was 4.1 degrees. IMD Jaipur has issued an alert regarding cold day in the state.
Rain alert in three states
According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued regarding rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala. There will be dense fog in Himachal Pradesh, UP, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
