France made an agreement with Spain under which France received the areas of Brie, Buges Volromye and Gex. 1595 – King Henry IV of France declared war against Spain.

2022 – Birju Maharaj – was one of the famous classical dance artists. 2021 – Ghulam Mustafa Khan – was an Indian classical music singer. 2020 – Bapu Nadkarni – was a former Indian cricket player. 2010- Death of India’s famous Marxist politician Jyoti Basu. 2014 – Suchitra Sen, famous film actress 1951 – Jyoti Prasad Aggarwal – Famous litterateur, freedom fighter and film producer of Assam. 1930 – Gauhar Jaan – was an Indian singer and dancer. 1582 – Bega Begum – was the second wife of Mughal emperor Humayun and stepmother of Akbar.
