There was a big controversy regarding this. Shankaracharya of Jyotishpeeth had expressed his displeasure over being made to sit on the royal chariot. Akhara Parishad President Ravindra Puri Maharaj had also given a statement in the matter. After this Harsha reached the camp of Niranjani Akhara. The saints of Jhaan Akhara had honored him with respect. This controversy has taken a new turn after Harsha reached Niranjani Akhara.

He has told that on January 29, the biggest bathing festival of this Mahakumbh, on Mauni Amavasya, he himself will make model Harsha sit on the royal chariot of Niranjani Akhara and take her to Sangam for the nectar bath. She told that she will wear saffron clothes and take a dip of faith in the holy stream of Triveni. After this announcement, Shambhavi Peethadhishwar Swami Anand Swaroop has expressed a big objection. He has said that this decision of Mahant Ravindra Puri is wrong. He should not make such announcement for the sake of Sanatan Dharma. He himself is the president of the Akhara Parishad. They should protect Sanatan Dharma. So that the dignity of this Sanatan Dharma remains intact.
