Junior Doctors Protest Outside Sealdah Court: Dissatisfied with Sanjay Roy's life imprisonment, junior doctors raised slogans outside the court.

New Delhi. Junior doctors of Kolkata are dissatisfied with the Sealdah Court’s decision to sentence Sanjay Roy, who was found guilty of rape and murder of a female doctor at RG Kar Medical College, to life imprisonment. A large number of junior doctors gathered outside the court and raised slogans of ‘We Deserve Justice’. Junior doctors are demanding death penalty for the culprit. At the same time, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is also not happy with the decision of the Sealdah Court. On the other hand, BJP leaders have also demanded hanging of the culprit.

Protestors from West Bengal Junior Doctors Front, Doctors’ Joint Forum and Abhay March demonstrated outside the Sealdah Court. He said that Sanjay Roy’s life sentence is less and also raised the demand for further investigation into the incident and bringing other people involved in it under the ambit of law. On the other hand, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, reacting to the decision of the Sealdah Court, said, we have been demanding death penalty for the culprit since day one and we still have the same demand. Taking aim at the CBI, Mamata Banerjee said that if the case had been in the hands of the West Bengal Police, the death sentence to the culprit would have been ordered long ago. CM said, such criminals should be hanged. I am not satisfied with the court order.

On the other hand, BJP’s woman leader Agnimitra Paul also cornered the Mamata Banerjee government, demanding death penalty against convicted Sanjay Roy. He said that Sanjay Roy should get death penalty, we are not happy with this decision. CBI will have to give supplementary charge sheet, who were with Sanjay Roy? CBI said that there was a conspiracy, evidence was tampered, the body was hastily cremated and the victim’s family was bribed to keep quiet, it is not possible that all this was done to save Sanjay Roy. yes. The names of all the people involved in this case should be revealed, only then the victim’s family will get justice.
