Indore, January 27 (IANS). Uniform Civil Code is going to be implemented in Uttarakhand from today. Now politics has intensified regarding this issue. Former Uttarakhand Congress President Ganesh Godiyal attacked BJP. He said that I want to ask CM Dhami how he will bring prosperity in the state through UCC.
Ganesh Godiyal said while talking to IANS, “I welcome the implementation of UCC, but I also have many questions from the state government. UCC is like what happened in Kashmir by removing Article 370 and giving the slogan that now there is prosperity in the entire country. Like Article 370, it also wants to suppress the problems in the state. Apart from this, corruption is also at its peak in the state. This is being done by the departments and people in the government. UCC is being implemented to divert attention from these problems.
He further said, “I want to ask CM Dhami how UCC will bring prosperity in Uttarakhand. What benefit will it bring to the youth of the state? The Chief Minister should be told about it. I think UCC is being created only to hide the failures. Has been brought.”
Ganesh Godiyal said on the firing between a former MLA and an MLA in Uttarakhand, “Where is the law and order in Uttarakhand? You yourself ask them questions. One and a half years ago, a BJP minister openly beat up a person on the streets. If action had been taken against that minister then all these incidents would not have happened. The question is if he would have forgiven the criminals. Morale will increase. Law and order is completely broken in the state.
Congress leader defends Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge after they did not participate in the Republic Day parade. He said, “I believe that the people have given the Congress leaders the certificate of being honest and loyal towards this country. We do not need a certificate from the BJP that how dedicated we are to the country. The public has given Rahul Gandhi a chance to reach the Parliament. We don’t need a certificate from BJP.”
