Discrimination with minority Ahmedia community in Pakistan

Lahore: In the Punjab province of Pakistan, fundamentalists have disarmed about 40 graves associated with the minority Ahmedia community. They are believed to be a member of the radical Islamic party. The police have given information about this on Monday. A Jamaat-e-Ahmedia Pakistan official said that the houses of members of the Ahmadiyya community were targeted in Sheikhupura, about 50 km from Lahore and hafted slogans were written on the walls.

Serious allegations against police

It is believed that these radical elements are members of Tehreek-e-Labback Pakistan (TLP), who broke the stones of about 40 graves in Sheikhupura. Police said it would take action against those targeting the cemetery of the Ahmadiyya community. However, the Jamaat-e-Ahmedia Pakistan (JAP) claimed that the miscreants broke the stones of graves without any restriction, but the police remained hand in hand. The previous sails also vandalized dozens of cemeteries of Ahmadiyya community by fundamentalists in Pakistan, especially in Punjab province. The police have not taken action against a single suspect in this case so far.

JAP spokesperson Aamir Mahmood strongly condemned the disregard of the haaftened slogans and 40 tombs associated with the Ahmedia community. He criticized the inaction of the officials and said that the administration should have taken immediate action when the incidents of breaking of the stone stones and writing inflammatory slogans. In 1974, the Parliament of Pakistan declared the Ahmadiyya community as non-Muslim. A decade later, he was banned from calling himself a Muslim. (Language)
