Mumbai, 30 January (IANS). Expressing concern over the increasing obesity in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the importance of fitness in a program as very important. On this, famous fitness coach Dr. Mickey Mehta said that obesity not only causes diseases like heart disease, hypertension and diabetes, but also weakens the ability to fight against diseases.
Mickey Mehta told IANS that the light that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has highlighted on the serious health risks of obesity is extremely important. Obesity not only causes diseases like heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes, but it also weakens the immune system, which makes the body more sensitive to infections. Additionally, obesity can also cause problems such as respiratory, digestion, concentration and reduction in energy levels. Obesity affects a person’s creativity, sleep quality and overall vitality, leading to a decline in quality of life. To face this challenge, adopting yoga, pranayama, balanced diet, Ayurvedic and natural remedies can be beneficial. If India has to become a world guru, then we have to fight a strong battle against obesity. “
He said, “Nowadays, the problem of obesity in children is also increasing, mainly due to more intake of junk food and packaged foods. It is very harmful and we have to adopt a healthy lifestyle to stop it. It is necessary to promote physical activity, balanced diet and healthy habits. The Fit India Movement launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi has played an important role in raising health awareness in the country. One should include children and youth to be induced for sports, yoga and pranayama, especially for these activities.
Fitness coach said, “Time is under our control and if we want, we can use it for our benefit. In the beginning, take only five minutes daily and start taking deep breath. Extend the time to 60 minutes. Included, it is beneficial for the strengthening of nutrition, immunity and vitality.
He said, “I myself am a supporter of Fit India Movement and am committed to spreading this awareness. We should follow the schemes available under this movement and especially motivate children and youth for sports and yoga. If we are regularly engaged in physical activities, then not only our health will improve, but our country will also become strong. “
