Everyone's eyes on 'Modiinomics'! Opposition's question to the government, "Will the common man get relief?"

The budget session of Parliament duly began on Friday with the address of President Draupadi Murmu. He addressed a joint meeting of both houses in the Lok Sabha. Following his address, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Now the eyes of the country are on the Union Budget to be presented by the Finance Minister, which will be his eighth consecutive budget. As the budget clock is getting closer, political rhetoric on it has also intensified. Opposition parties have started questioning the government’s economic policies.

Strike on ‘Modiinomics’

Priyank Kharge, a minister in the Karnataka government, launched a scathing attack on the central government, “I have no hope from this budget personally. We have seen Modiji’s mastersstroke ‘Modiinomics’ well in the last 10 years, and what was the result. ? Unemployment in the country has reached its highest level, SME (small and medium industries) and MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Industries) have been badly affected, farmers still have to protest outside Parliament for their rights. Are forced. “

Kharge also questioned several major schemes of the Center, saying, “Programs like Make in India, Skill India and Digital India are limited to papers and are nothing more than election slogans. The reality is that startup companies struggle struggling There has been a huge decline in foreign investment (FDI), and there has been a capital withdrawal of more than nine billion dollars last month. “

In addition, Kharge criticized the central government for not getting proper stake in the budget to his state Karnataka. He said, “Nirmala Sitharaman should have shown more sensitivity to Karnataka at least with etiquette, as the people of Karnataka have sent him to Parliament twice. But the state has been neglected in tax transfer and other financial matters.”

Himachal did not get any special assistance

Himachal Pradesh Congress spokesperson Kuldeep Rathore also targeted the Center over the budget. He said, “This is the third term of the BJP government, yet Himachal Pradesh has not received any special assistance in the Union Budget. This time we do not expect any major cooperation.” Rathore reminded of the promises made in last year’s budget, saying, “In the last budget, the Finance Minister had talked about helping Himachal Pradesh affected by natural disasters, but nothing happened at the ground level. On the contrary, the neighboring mountain The states got more financial assistance from the Center.

Shiv Sena (UBT) also surrounds the government

Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey also expressed concern over the current economic situation and said while taking a sarcasm at the central government, “Inflation has become unbridled in the last ten years. The prices of basic facilities are continuously increasing, but relief to the common man No concrete plan to give is seen with the government. “

He further said, “Even today 80 crore people are standing in queues for free grains. This figure shows how much economic inequality has increased in the country. The government should cut taxes and give direct benefits to the farmers, but this But there is no discussion.

Public expectations from budget

The people of the country have many expectations from this budget, especially the middle class, farmers and unemployed youth are expected to get relief. The industry is also expecting steps to improve tax structure and increase investment this time. Now it has to be seen what priorities Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman gives preference to her budget and whether it will meet the expectations of the general public or not.
