‘Russia will be forced to negotiate’
Ukraine’s President Jailonsci said in a conversation with the ‘Associated Press’ that Russia does not want to attend the ceasefire talks or to discuss any relief. He said that if the US President Donald Trump warns to impose an energy and banking system ban on Russia, Putin may be forced to talk. He said, “I think this is the most important step.”
Jailonsky responds to Trump’s statement
Volodimir Jailnsky’s comment came on Friday after Trump’s statement that American and Russian officials were already talking about ending the war. Trump said that his administration has held significant discussions with Russia, but he did not explain it in detail. Jailonsky said, “They can have their own relationships, but talking about Ukraine without us, it is harmful to everyone.”
