New Delhi. The Supreme Court today refused to hear the petition filed in the stampede case on Mauni Amavasya at Prayagraj Mahakumbh. A bench of Supreme Court Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice PV Sanjay Kumar have asked the petitioner to appeal in the Allahabad High Court. Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna said, certainly it is an unfortunate incident, which is a worrying subject. At the same time, senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, who appeared on behalf of the UP government, informed the bench that a judicial inquiry into the incident has been ordered and investigation is going on.
On this, the bench dismissed the petition, giving the petitioner a permission to go to the High Court. In a petition filed by Supreme Court lawyer Vishal Tiwari, he accused the UP government of negligence. The petitioner had claimed that due to the administration’s lapse, there was a stampede in the Mahakumbh and many devotees lost their lives. In his petition, he had requested the Supreme Court to instruct all states to make policies to increase mob management. Let us tell you that after the Mahakumbh accident, CM Yogi Adityanath has formed a three -member judicial committee to investigate the entire case, which has started his investigation.
