History News Desk !!! Suhasini Ganguly (English: Suhasini Ganguly, born 3 February, 1909; death- March 23, 1965) was an Indian freedom fighter. The freedom of India was the biggest dream of his life, which he spent his entire life in fulfilling it. A road in Kolkata has been named ‘Suhasini Ganguly Sarni’ to honor his abandoned life and adventure. Rachna Bhola Yamini has described her life character in her book ‘Revolutionary Women of Freedom Struggle’.
Introduction
Suhasini Ganguly was born on 3 February 1909 in Khulna, Bengal. His ancestral house was in a village called Baghia in Dhaka, district Vikrampur. Suhasini, daughter of father Avinash Chandra Ganguly and mother Sarlasundari Devi, passed matriculation from Dhaka Eden High School in 1924 and graduated from Eden College. In a swimming school, she came in contact with Kalyani Das and Kamla Dasgupta and started training to support the revolutionary party. In 1929, after being introduced to Rasik Lal Das, the leader of the Viplavi party, she became completely active in the party. Hemant Sardardar also encouraged him towards this.
Teaching work
After the 1930s of the 1930s, many revolutionaries went to Chandranagar to escape from the British police. Suhasini Ganguly reached Chandranagar from Calcutta to protect these revolutionaries. Prior to this, she was working in a school of dumb-dumb children in Calcutta. On reaching Chandranagar, he took teaching work in a school there. From evening to morning, she was her favorite Suhasini Didi, a tributary of the revolutionaries. Throughout the day, she used to go to work as a normal teacher and lived in the house as a pseudo -wife of Shashidhar Acharya so that no one would have doubt and this house would be the house of a normal householder and she could also provide protection to the revolutionaries. Ganesh Ghosh, Loknath Bal, Jeevan Ghoshal, Hemant Sardardar etc. revolutionary used to stay here in turn.
‘Chhatri Sangha’ organization
During her job, Suhasini Ganguly came in contact with the girls who used to take the dream of licking the British rule in the heart throughout the day. One of which was Kamaladas Gupta, a hostel’s wardon. What was the bomb, bullet in his hostel. Girls were commanded by all weapons in their hands and in charge of Kamaladas Gupta. The second was Pretilata promised. Preeti was the heroine of Master Surya Sen’s revolutionary faction, who wrote on a European club that ‘Indians and Dogs are not alld’. Attacked the club along with many revolutionaries. Loses his life, but shouted bullets. Eventually that club was closed. Another was Bina Das, who fired five bullets in the hall filled one by one on the governor Jackson of Bengal at the convocation. It was interesting that Bina Das was also given that pistol by Kamaladas Gupta. All these girls used to run an organization called ‘Chhatri Sangha’.

Suhasini Ganguly also moved to the French suzerainty Chandranagar and started living as a wife of revolutionary Shashidhar Acharya. He also got a job in school there. She was known as Suhasini Didi among all the revolutionaries. Didi, who is available with the solution of every problem of everyone at all times. Just like Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Durga Bhabhi of Rajguru. He had a big hand in running the network and organization of revolutionaries behind the screen. Nobody used to doubt them easily.
Hideouts of revolutionaries
Suhasini Ganguly’s house had become a hideout of shelter for revolutionaries, as Bhikhaji Cama’s house was once for Veer Savarkar. All the revolutionaries like Hemant Sardar, Ganesh Ghosh, Jeevan Ghoshal, Loknath Bal had to take refuge from time to time to escape the police; But the friendship of England, France also created difficulties for them. The English police now started laying their nets in the streets of Chandranagar and Suhasini Ganguly also came under their target. One day the police raided, Jeevan Ghoshal was killed in a face -to -face fight. Shashidhar Acharya and Suhasini were arrested and till 1938 they were kept in the Hijli Detention Camp for many years. Interestingly, today there is a campus of Kharagpur IIT in place of this camp.
Connection with Communist Party
Some members of the Jugantar Party in the Congress, some went to the Communist Party and the rest caught their different path. Suhasini was also added by someone to the Communist Party, but when the Communist Party did not participate in the 1942 Quit India Movement, she did not fully agree and kept on assisting the Hemant Sardar active in the movement and herself also secretly active in the movement Stayed Hemant was also given shelter. On this charge, he was also arrested and sent to jail in 1942. When she came out in 1945, Hemant Sardar was living in an ashram in Dhanbad, she also started living in the same ashram.
Remaining life after independence
Suhasini Ganguly, who always wore Khadi, was a spiritual health, to liberate the country was his only goal. So many revolutionaries came in contact with him, who were also greatly influenced by his personality. She remained as a proud wife of one, but never thought about her family, her life, not even after the independence of the country. She used to stay far away from the camera. His only picture is found, which may have been taken quietly by someone when she was engrossed in meditation posture between palm trees in the ashram. Eyes were closed. After independence, he spent all his life in social, spiritual works. He did not even get palitics.
Death
In March 1965, one day when Suhasini Ganguly was going somewhere, she became an accident on the way. Negligence was taken in his treatment. She fell victim to bacterial infection and went to heaven on 23 March 1965. The day Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru were hanged on the same day. Therefore, Suhasini Ganguly is usually ignored that day.
