When it comes to using body double for the first time in films, the credit goes to Lord Dada. It was Lord Dada who rained real notes on the sets for shooting. At the same time, he is the same actor whose slap had spoiled Lalita Pawar’s face, after which he had to play the role of a villain all his life. Work done in textile mill
You must have heard the songs ‘Shola Jo Bhadke’ and ‘O son ji, o Babu ji’. These popular songs are shot on Lord Dada. Lord Dada started working in a textile mill after completing fourth class studies. He did not like studies, so he started going with his father, but he did not like it either. He was very fond of working in films. His friend Baburao wrestler fulfilled his wish. Baburao was the person who had given Lord Dada work in films. His first film was ‘Bewafa Aashiq’. In this film, Lord Dada was seen as an actor. However, he was also interested in directing. So he acted and directed in the 1938 film ‘Bahadur Kisan’. After which he also opened his own production house.
Lord Dada rained money on the set
Lord Dada could do anything to keep the scene of his films real. In one such scene of the film, he had to show the rain of notes. In such a situation, he rained real notes to show the scene real. Lord Dada was the actor whose slap spoiled Lalita Pawar’s face. Earlier Lalita Pawar used to play the lead actress in films, but she fainted first due to the slap of Lord Dada in the scene of the film. Later, when he saw his face, he was also ruined. Despite owning 2 bungalows and 7 cars, he spent poverty on his last day
Lord Dada had a 25 -room bungalow in Pal Juhu. He also had two bungalows in Mumbai. He was also very fond of cars. He had 7 cars in his garage. Every day he used to go to the set with a new car. However, this series did not last long, there came a time when his films started flopping continuously. He wanted to make the film ‘Laughing Raha’, in which he cast Kishore Kumar.
The film was the dream project of Lord Dada. For which he mortgaged his bungalow and cars, but Kishore Kumar’s fingernails did not allow the film to be completed. Due to which Lord Dada had to sell his bungalow and cars. After which he shifted to a chawl. Whenever Ganapati’s procession came out, she would have stayed near Lord Dada’s house. The procession moved forward only when Lord Dada would step his signature.
Heart attack took life
Lord Dada became addicted to alcohol. It is said that thousands of liquor bottles had accumulated in his house. 4 February 2002 was the day when Lord Dada got a heart attack and said goodbye to the world. His body was found in his room. The then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee also expressed grief over his death.
