Dalit marries mare in police security
Banaskantha: Dalit lawyer Mukesh Parecha took out his wedding procession in Banaskantha district of Gujarat. This was the first time of horse racing in a Dalit family in the area. 145 policemen were present to protect this procession. Later, police officers along with Vadgam MLA Jignesh Mevani drove the groom’s car. However, while climbing the car and climbing the car, someone threw stones at his car. The groom Parecha said that he would complain about it in a day or two.
Security was sought for horse racing in marriage
A unique marriage was seen on Thursday in Gadalwara village of Palanpur tehsil of Banaskantha district. This marriage was completely different from common weddings. The groom Mukesh Parecha wanted to perform the ritual of horse racing at his wedding. The domineering of the area had banned the horse racing. Parecha sought security from local MLA Jignesh Mevani and police for this ritual. He submitted an application to the Superintendent of Police of Banaskantha district on 22 January. In the application, Parecha said that Dalits in his village never take out horseback or Varaghoda. I am the first person who will remove Varghoda, in which there is every possibility of untoward. You are requested to provide police protection.

The police imposed the duty of 145 policemen to protect their barat. Jignesh Mevani himself also joined the procession with police officers. Parecha, who advocated in Banaskantha district court, said that his procession came out amid police security. Nothing happened when he was riding on a horse. But when he got down from the horse and sat in his car, someone threw a stone on his car. Then Police Inspector K. M. Vasava himself held the steering. Along with him, Vadgam MLA Jignesh Mevani was also present in the car.
